Psalm 127:3

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

"Children are an heritage of the Lord..." What a powerful thought! Sometimes they annoy us and get on our nerves but they are an heritage of the Lord. We, as parents, are to nurture them and bring them up in the admonition of the Lord! This is not a simple or easy request but it is a request of the Lord nonetheless. Our duty is to raise them, protect them and nourish their souls for God.

We can start by reading the Bible with them, allowing them to see us reading the Bible and praying, taking them to Church to hear the lessons as taught in the Scriptures, allow them to participate in extra-curricular activities which will have a godly influence in their lives such as: American Heritage Girls and Trail Life USA. We should teach them the Old Paths of the simple truths from God's Word. They should be able to defend their beliefs through apologetics, they should understand hermeneutics... The list could go on and on but the main point is that we must take an active role in leading our children and raising them as the Lord would have us to.

Life is precious and we have a responsibility, not only as Christians but as men, to preserve and protect life! At this time the Democratic party has made it clear that they do not care about life. They pretend to care about the "refugees, the homeless, the minorities etc." while crying: "Its about the children". Yet they have voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

“….This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress. If there is one thing we should all agree on, it’s protecting the lives of innocent babies,” - President Trump.

Abortion is a sick and disgusting practice which should forever be banned and anyone practicing it should be jailed for murder.

Exodus 21:22 has been misunderstood and misapplied as actually being in favor of a pro-choice stance. Let's clear this mishap up now.

KJV: "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine."

NASB: "And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no [further] injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any [further] injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise." [1]

[1] The 1995 updated version of the NASB now renders this verse, "If men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no injury, he shall surely be fined..." etc.]

AMP: “If men fight with each other and injure a pregnant woman so that she gives birth prematurely [and the baby lives], yet there is no further injury, the one who hurt her must be punished with a fine [paid] to the woman’s husband, as much as the judges decide."

If you know anything about me or have read any of the pages about Bible translation on my site then you know that I am a supporter of the Textus Receptus and the faithful translations which come from it, I use the KJV since it is the closest to the Hebrew and Greek texts and it is the pinnacle of written English. I have placed the NASB and AMP here for comparison purposes only.

Babies born prematurely require special care. Because their prenatal development has been interrupted, they are especially prone to difficulty. Pre-term babies often can't breast feed, and there can be respiratory problems leading to permanent brain damage. The fine represents reimbursement for the expense of an untimely birth, and punitive damages for the serious trauma.

Pro abortionists have actually tried to claim that this particular verse requires a fine for causing an abortion and if that is the only "punishment" then God must not care about an abortion. This is from a lost and dying carnal person who does not understand the Scriptures or who tries to twist them to their own demise.

In addition to this verse there are also other ancient texts which call for the protection of babies in the womb. While these are not books found in the Bible and some are heretical at best, they still support the pre-born child.

1 Enoch 69:12: And the fifth was named Kasdeja: this is he who showed the children of men all the wicked smitings of spirits and demons, and the smitings of the embryo in the womb, that it may pass away, and [the smitings of the soul] the bites of the serpent, and the smitings which befall through the noontide heat, the son of the serpent named Tabâêt.

Sibylline Oracles 2.280-84: "Those who licentiously defiled the flesh; and all who loosed the maiden’s girdle for secret intercourse; and all who caused abortions; and all who unlawfully cast away their offspring; and sorcerers and sorceresses with them; the wrath of the heavenly and immortal God shall drive all these against a pillar around which in a circle flows an unending river of fire,"

Pseudo-Phocyclides, verses 184-185: “Do not let a woman destroy the unborn babe in her belly, nor after its birth throw it before the dogs and the vultures as prey,"

Didache Chapter 2: “Thou shalt not murder a child by abortion nor kill that which is begotten,”

Epistle of Barnabas, Chapter 19: "Thou shalt not slay the child by procuring abortion; nor, again, shalt thou destroy it after it is born,

Epistle to Diognetus, Chapter 5: "They beget children; but they do not destroy their offspring. They have a common table, but not a common bed. They are in the flesh, but they do not live after the flesh,"

Apocalypse of Peter, verse 25: “And near that place I saw another strait place into which the gore and the filth of those who were being punished ran down and became there as it were a lake:  and there sat women having the gore up to their necks, and over against them sat many children who were born to them out of due time, crying; and there came forth from them sparks of fire and smote the women in the eyes: and these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion,

Athenagoras, A Plea for the Christians, Chapter 35: “We say that those women who use drugs to bring on abortion commit murder and will have to give an account to God for the abortion,”

Tertullian, Apology, Chapter 9: "In our case, murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the fetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man-killing; nor does it matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to the birth. That is a man which is going to be one; you have the fruit already in its seed,”

Abortion = Murder
