So why have I added this section on slow martial arts? What does this have to do with being a modern-day knight and/or monk? Well, it is no surprise that the monks of Asia practiced various forms of martial arts, everything from the hard arts of Karate, Tae Kwon Do and Muy Tai to the softer arts such as: Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu and Tai Chi.
Now, the problem with many of these traditional arts is that they all come with an Eastern Philosophy, which can lead a person away from the teachings of the Bible. So, since it has been proven that practicing martial arts such as Tai Chi and even Yoga can be beneficial to our health... why shouldn't we, as Christians, have a viable alternative?
